I just had to watch a video about this neighborhood and discuss the benefits of living in a planned community. It was awful.

2. I was in Summerlin for business in May.

I went jogging every morning as I needed something to do in the hours I refused to sleep during to adjust to the timezone (East Coaster) so I saw the sun rise from the desert every morning. What struck me as odd was the walls. Everywhere I went was a damn wall next to me. Until I got out into the open desert where walls were replaced with barbed wire and signs saying watch out for cows.

I’d run in the desert every day of my life if I could. Very cool stuff. Problem with place like Vegas is that you build on the outskirts of town so you can enjoy some of the natural stuff and then the sprawl continues and in 10 years you’re insulated.

Echo and Rig was good for food though. Liked that.
